Twitter Plugin for WordPress Blog

Recently I was searching Official WordPress Plugins Repository. All I wanted was to:

Send a tweet to my twitter account when I post on my blog.

My search resulted in loads of pages of Twitter Plugins. After doing a bit of research, I ended up with:

Twitter Tools

“It’s a plugin that creates a complete integration between your WordPress blog and your Twitter account.”

What a simple and straight forward introduction. And in fact by nature this is pretty strong yet easy to use tool. Very flexible, almost everything is editable through an easily-accessible Twitter Tools Page. Type in your information, choose your preferences, and you are good to go.

Some of the important features are:

• Post a tweet from the WP Admin screens
• Create a blog post from each of your tweets
• Create a daily or weekly digest post of your tweets
• Create a tweet on Twitter whenever you post in your blog, with a link to the blog post
• Post a tweet from your sidebar
• Pass your tweets along to another service (via API hook)
• And much more

All of above functions are customizable, you can be turned them on or off at any time. I almost went with the default settings, as this pretty much what I wanted.
